Remember the excitement of seeing fellow feminists spilling out of a pub onto the street, all to come together, drink beer and have a (sometimes lively) discussion about what their feminist activism was? Can't wait for the next time around so you know you'll get a primo seat - wait, there's a next time?
Yep, there's definitely a next time. Our last Feminism in the Pub event was so successful that we've had no choice but to run it all over again. Back by popular demand, we'll be running Feminism in the Pub: Sexism at Work on May 17th.
This month, we'll be discussing Sexism at Work with a truly amazing panel (and audience!) including Sally McManus, newly-elected Secretary of the ACTU, Sally Goldner, Executive Director of Transgender Victoria, Steph Dowling, student activist speaking on gendered violence on uni campuses, and a special guest to be announced!
Join us again this month for solidarity in sharing all our own experiences, and some serious feminist discussion about what we can do to stop sexism in the workplace.
Hosted at the Bull and Bear Tavern, there'll be a bar for drinks, and a kitchen for some A+ pub food. Bring along a friend or three - or bring your whole workplace and let them soak up the learning!
Accessibility: The Bull and Bear Tavern is accessible to wheelchair users and those with other mobility problems. If you have any other access requirements please contact us and we will make adjustments as best we can.
