Bush fires, rising oceans, droughts, loss of jobs and industries, shortage of natural resources, air pollution... In Australia, we are seeing unprecedented challenges to working conditions and inadequate action on climate change. After the disappointing federal election results, one thing is clear: we don't have time to sit back and wait for solutions from above.

Join us for Feminism in the Pub: Fighting for Climate Justice on Wednesday 19th June, RSVP here. We are coming together to listen to the inspiring stories of union sisters tackling the climate crisis with Eartworker Cooperative and Friends of the Earth, as well as to discuss what solutions are out there for working people.

We are proud to be hosting a panel of amazing union women fighting in their communities to create sustainable jobs, resist damaging projects or defend sacred heritage sites :

• Amanda Mahomet, Arrernte woman and Rebecca Jakobi, Djap Wurrung women, from the Djab Wurrung Heritage Protection Embassy

• Katherine Cunningham, Gippsland resident and Earthworker Cooperative Board member

• Anna Langford, Friends of the Earth Melbourne activist and Hospo Voice United Voice Victoria member

• Hosted by Feminism in the Pub activists, Kresta Lokumarambage and Alex Thorton

There will be drinks, food and music and you will have plenty of time to ask questions too! The panel discussion will be followed a performance by musician and author Maja Puseljic. Places are limited, so make sure you don't miss out and RSVP below

Feminism in the Pub events are activist-led open discussion at the pub on issues affecting working women in Victoria, with the support of We Are Union Women at Victorian Trades Hall Council.

This event will take place on the lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nations. We acknowledge this land was stolen and that sovereignty was never ceded. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
