The Independent Education Union (IEU) is back with our second feminist book club! What makes a book feminist? Why do we like feminist literature? What's changed since the last time we came together, and how will feminist literature change to reflect it?
The books we’ve chosen are a classic; “My Brilliant Career” by Miles Franklin and a contemporary; “Hope Farm” by Peggy Frew. An esteemed panel, led by the fabulous Corinne Grant, will be discussing these novels and opening up the floor to questions from the audience.
Read up if you can before you come along, or come with an open mind and two new to-reads to walk away with.
IEU members can book by emailing [email protected], others call (03)9254 1860 and press 2 to pay ($10)
