Insecure and precarious work disproportionately effects women who make up that majority of casual and insecurely employed workers. From retail assistants and traffic controllers to teachers and early childhood educators, insecure work impacts women workers and contributes to gender pay inequality, poverty in retirement, workplace injury and illness, ability to manage caring responsibilities and overall quality of life and well-being. 

In this workshop we will explore what insecure work means for women and how the Covid19 pandemic has impacted women who are employed insecurely. You will have the opportunity to hear from women with a diverse range of direct experiences and expertise. We will look at the drivers of insecure and precarious work and also discuss the solutions moving forward in a post Covid19 recovery period.
